Funto Koya joined atai Life Sciences in 2021.

She has a Master’s degree distinction in Human Resource Management alongside five years of work experience in Talent Recruitment and HR Strategy.

Previously, Funto worked at Contentful where she supported the HR Business Partner team and coordinated company-wide performance review cycles. Prior to that, she was the Talent Acquisition Manager at Donut Inc — an LA & Berlin-based FinTech startup, where she pioneered end-to-end recruitment cycle and managed candidate onboarding.

Earlier in her career, Funto has worked as a Process Manager, and as a Career Coach, and continuously thrives to accelerate the Tech startup scene in Germany.

It is her passion for early & growth-stage startups, coupled with her personal drive for mental health advocacy, that attracted Funto to work with atai and make her debut in the BioTech industry.
